Foam glass tube and block insulation is a rigid, lightweight insulation material consisting of millions of fully sealed glass units, each with an insulated space. The all-glass closed cell construction of foamed glass insulation provides an unmatched combination of physical properties, it does not penetrate any form of moisture, does not burn and is non-combustible. Foam glass piping and block insulation are most commonly used in applications involving process piping, tanks, containers and equipment, which are most commonly used in the gas processing, refining, petrochemical and specialty chemical industries. The foam glass block can handle operating temperatures from -260°C to +430°C.
